Sensa is the “brain child” of a Dr. Allen Hirsch, who is not a medical doctor but a psychiatrist and neurologist. The theory behind Sensa is that it’s flavor crystals that are sprinkled onto your food, will trigger the “satienty center” which is the area in your brain that tells you when you’ve had enough.
What is Sensa?
Simply put, Sensa is an appetite suppressant that come in a crystal form Hirsch calls “tastants”. These come in two varieties, one is salty, the other is sweet. The theory is to sprinkle the salty tastants on food you would normally sprinkle with salt, while the sweet tastants can be sprinkled on sweet desserts and such.
What is Sensa made from?
Anyone who is health conscious and knows at least a little about the dangers of processed foods and their toxins, chemicals and sugars will see that the Sensa idea is not a good one for anyone’s health benefits and there are much sear and effective ways to lose weight.
The problem we have with Sensa is it’s NOT a natural weight loss aid. It contains sugar and man-made food additives.
Sensa ingredients
Milk and soy – these are difficult for most people to digest
Maltodextrin – this is an artificial sweetener and as bad, if not worse than sugar
Tricalcium Phosphate – a food additive that is normally used as a gastric antacid, a firming agent and an anti-caking agent
Silica – used here as a food dehydrator and flowing agent which has no nutritional value
FD&C Yellow 5 – synthetic food coloring used to color the Sensa crystals
Carmine – also a food coloring made from insects
Will Sensa work to help you lose weight?
Like many other fad diets, it might, for a while anyway. Sensa lists as it’s benefits that you don’t need to change your diet or lifestyle to lose weight with this product. Anyone who’s fully awake knows this is not going to be the perfect and ultimate weight loss product. Considering the unhealthy ingredients it contains, how long can you expect to consume this product?
It’s like the drug diet pills in which the longer you take them, the higher the risk of developing side effects. We all know that we can’t keep consuming such products and expect to remain healthy.
Sensa side effects
Many Sensa weight loss reviews and the Sensa website claims that it’s ingredients are all approved by the FDA, this is the same organization that approves dangerous drugs and still allows food companies to use hydrogenated oils for cooking food. These are the oils that have been proven to cause heart attacks and strokes.
Sensa is not free from side effects and some known ones include gas, lose bowels, diarrhea, hives, dizziness, vomiting, swelling, and an upset stomach. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to experience even one of those after, during or before a meal.
Regardless of any positive Sensa weight loss reviews that have a sole purpose of clicking the reader onto the sellers site, Sensa simply falls under the category of another fads diet scam that’s here today and gone tomorrow, or sometime very soon.
